# Note to applicants

Thank you for your interest in working with me or applying to the Harvard Economics Ph.D. program. Ph.D. admissions are handled centrally by the department; faculty do not admit students individually, so please consult the [department’s admissions page](https://www.economics.harvard.edu/admissions) for information about applying. I also do not operate a research lab and am generally unable to respond to unsolicited inquiries about research assistant positions. Because I receive many such messages, I regret that I cannot reply individually.
